Meet Dr. Greg Morris
A native of Hahira and 1986 graduate of Lowndes High School, Dr. Morris was always highly interested in the field of Health Sciences. Careful deliberation with family, educators and local professionals led him to pursue his chosen path of a career in Dentistry. Dr. Morris attended Valdosta State University where he completed his undergraduate, pre-dental education. His strong academic standing while at VSU helped him secure early admittance to The Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry Degree in 1993.
After five fantastic years of practicing general dentistry in Valdosta, Dr. Morris felt a strong calling to specialize in orthodontic care. Dr. Hester was very instrumental in this process. His passion and enthusiasm about Orthodontics were very apparent as he encouraged Dr. Morris to pursue post-doctoral education. Dr. Morris completed his three year advanced orthodontic residency at The Vanderbilt Orthodontic Center in 2001 and returned to Valdosta to resume practice. Morris Orthodontics in Waycross was established in June of 2003 and the Moultrie location was purchased in May of 2005.
Dr. Morris reflects upon his decision to specialize in orthodontics as the most rewarding decision of his professional career. He is extremely gratified to help improve the smile and self-esteem of so many friends, both new and old. He is dedicated to maintaining the highest quality of orthodontic care available and engages in numerous continuing education courses each year to ensure that his patients will receive the highest standard of care.
Dr. Morris is a member of several professional associations including the American Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists. Gratified to serve his profession locally, Dr. Morris is past president of the Quad County Dental Society as well as The Satilla Area Dental Society. He now serves as 2nd Vice President of the Southwestern District Dental Society.
Dr Morris and his wife Megan reside in Valdosta. They are proud parents of Nicholas and look forward to raising their family in the same wonderful area where Dr. M grew up. As avid outdoor enthusiasts, Dr. Morris and Megan enjoy boating and swimming with friends and family during the warmer months. As the weather begins to cool, he will be involved in several bird hunting excursions with friends and colleagues. Megan also keeps him busy running and cycling alongside her during the spring and fall months. Dr. Morris also has quite a passion for college football and he and Megan will usually attend several games during the season (GO DAWGS!!)
